Friday night and Saturday morning was pretty cold.  There was ice on the water tanks.  There were dead caterpillars lying underneath the trees.  The freeze had zapped them.  Flies and wasps did not die, however.  It seems that the freeze just sent a signal that their days are numbered.  Every where I went this weekend, wasps were buzzing around all over the place.  They weren’t in attack mode, but they were very visible.  I used several cans of spray zapping these aerial marauders.  I climbed a ladder to get to a rather active nest.  I am ready to be rid of wasps, flies and mosquitoes.
