Merry Christmas!!

Posted on December 24, 2015

Christmas Eve is here.  I hope that everyone was able to air their grievances on Festivus.  Merry Christmas to all.  SCROOGED is on right now.  The marathon will begin in a short time.  Yes, that marathon–The Christmas Story movie 24 hour marathon.  I hope everyone has an excellent Christmas and vacation.  Remember that bumble’s bounce.  And here’s to hoping that your RV crapper isn’t full and that you don’t shoot your eye out.

Happy Festivus!!  Today, the 23rd, is the holiday Festivus.  The Seinfeld episode that introduced us to this alternative Holiday will be on at 6:30 pm CST on TBS.  Plop down and watch it or set the DVR (which I can’t do.  But Duke can.)

CHRISTmas Delivery

Posted on December 22, 2015

It will be late this night, actually earling Tuesday morning, when Tammy and Kela will get back here to paradise.  I guess it is a parental feeling.   The feeling that Tammy is bringing home a special delivery.  A feeling like she went to cali to pick up our favorite daughter and is bringing her home for the holidays.  But, in all actuality, the package, Kela, has WAY more travel miles logged

The Review

Posted on December 19, 2015

Yes, Duke and I made it to the Star Wars: The Force Awakens.  We watched the 3D version.  It was a packed house with 4 showings in Woodward on Friday night.   No spoilage here.   Was it good?  Yes.  The special effects and graphics were unparalleled.  Best I’ve ever seen.  The visuals of the orignal Star Wars back in 1977  were too the moon.  This flick takes it to a whole new

Language in Paradise

Posted on December 18, 2015

Just a few terms heard around paradise on this fine day.  Just in case you don’t know, Duke and I can speak without using a lot of words.  There are some grunts, groans and growls, but limited words.  We prefer to think of it as an effecient use of the English language. “Anything happening in there?”–meaning–Are either of those two does that are left to kid, acting like they are getting ready to

Dirt Roading

Posted on December 16, 2015

This is something that I have enjoyed for more than three decades.  Just cruising along, with some tunes playing and checking out the sights.  By myself, with others, whatever.  Dirt roading just helps to get your mind right.  There are times that I will literally just drive the section line and come back home.  Four miles, one song, better mood and then go back to what I was doing.  Doe goats become

Getting Near

Posted on December 14, 2015

Some fantastic dates are getting near.  The first one is a term that everyone can relate to, especially teachers and students–Christmas Break.  Next Friday brings that much anticipated day in Shattuck.          The new Stars Wars movie gets released later this week.  The Hollywood box office records that this movie will generate will be retarded.  Duke and I have our tickets and are primed.        Speaking of Hollywood,

All in a day

Posted on December 11, 2015

It is hard to believe that it has been 70 degrees F these past few days.  No ice to break or watch goats slip on.  The mud is gone.  70, in NW OK, in December…RUKM?  And no wind?  I’m sure we will pay for it later, but it is nice.       For some reason, this Thursday was not fun.  No major problems…just lots of hiccups and headaches that add up.

There is a fairly current hit song by the artist, The Weeknd.  (I didn’t name him or spell it for him.) The song is titled “Can’t feel my face.”  The chorus of the song is “I can’t feel my face when I’m with you.”  One of the very best students at Shattuck High went to the dentist yesterday to get a tooth worked on.  And yes, she sang “I can’t feel my face
