Thoughts from Kelln

I hate ’em but they are a neccesary evil.  I don’t check texts while driving.  Therefore, when I stop driving, I have forgetten that I have texts.  And in the meantime, more texts come in, so the earlier, un-opened texts get pushed down the line.         Texts are also an improper form of communication.  It is dang neart impossible to properly send a text with proper emotion tied to

Wicked Wednesday

Posted on November 19, 2015

This Wednesday felt more like a Monday.  To start with, I had to meet a trailer on I-40 to pickup some online pig purchases.  On Monday morning, the driver planned on being to my stop by 9:30 or 10 am.  He also said that he would call me the night before.  There wasn’t a call, but I had talked to him a 2nd time on Monday evening.  I don’t like to be late,

Weathering the Storm

Posted on November 17, 2015

We have some weird weather going on for November in paradise.  This weather would be normal for April or May–butt loads of wind, possible chance of a Tornasty, OKC news channels are over-sensationalizing what is actually going on in NW OK.  And it all makes people nervous.  Especially parents.         Had a dad that lives in central OK call because his daughter wasn’t answering her phone.  Tammy got her

Hair has been an important part of 1st world civilization for the past century or so.  Yes, I am aware that many cultures have used certain hair styles to indicate rank, class and wealth over the course of history.  But, we have taken it to a whole new level.  Hippies, skinheads, preps, and followers of Hare Krishna are just a few social themes that have had their moments.  Dennis Rodman used

Here’s what I know on this day.      I was reminded that I live in NW Oklahoma as the wind has howled and the temperature has changed drastically.  Not a day that one should open more than one vehicle door at a time.  The dash on a 4 door pickup can get cleaned in a hurry.      It is Veteran’s Day.  Yes, the Shattuck Veteran’s Program was last night.

Veteran’s Day

Posted on November 11, 2015

We went to the Shattuck Veteran’s Day program.  Shattuck has a long history of having an outstanding high school & junior high choir.  This year is no exception.  They put on a stellar program.  There is some real talent and Mrs. Dorsey gets that talent to shine.  Way cool deal!  Duke even sings.  They also had a very good speaker.  He was a retired military man that is native to Shattuck.  Outstanding

Here I sit….

like a dude in a quick stop bathroom stall.  Just trying to come up with something witty to write.         Our eldest child and favorite daughter is getting ready to get on a plane to head to some other continent to start the production for another season of that tv show for which she works.  She will be in numerous countries and continents over the next couple of weeks.  And she gets

I am trying to get back into the typing groove.  And it is that time of year that brings up the topic of blankets on goats.  We are actually late.  But it is still somewhat warm for November.  I personally believe that this is the most commonly screwed up aspect of showing goats north of Ft. Worth.  A goat’s hair has no redeeming insulation value.  Just becaue they have long hair does not

OSU Football

I have always been an Okie State fan.  I love the school.  My dad, myself, my daughter, a brother, some uncles, cousins and a butt-load of friends have graduated from the Oklahoma State University.  I keep up with their athletic teams and judging teams.  My life doesn’t crumble when they lose, but I am in a better mood when they win.        Personally, I did not think that the pokes would

The week is about over and I haven’t hardly been near this keyboard.  Therefore, I haven’t offended many people.   We’ve been trying to kid some recips this week and at the same time, we are starting protocol for the next flush.  I’m still not a fan of this flushing business. I guess the Schneberger crew went to a Thunder game this week.  Addie was involved in some kind of half-time little kid dribbling exercise.
