Thoughts from Kelln

Whitesnake

Posted on May 12, 2014

It’s gotten real serious around here.  Where to begin?  On Saturday, my friends Bill Taylor and Brandon Bruce assisted me in a trip to Carnegie, OK.  We took two 24′ gooseneck trailers.  We stopped at Schneberger’s and looked at goats.  Good set of goats.  NOTHING was for sale yet.  Yet being the key word.  If you aren’t in a good mood when talking to Jared, then something is wrong with you.  You clowns

Friday, Friday, yes Friday!!

Posted on May 10, 2014

I’ve had better Fridays, but I’ve dang sure had worse.  Work was good because I like the people there.  But….tomorrow is going to be better.   Duke and I burnt horns on a set of kids tonight.  Not fun, but it went well.  I can tell you this much, when the Duke is wanting to get a job done, there is none better.  He and I are having more moments that don’t involve

Serious

Posted on May 09, 2014

I don’t have a movie or a song that ties to the word “Serious”.  But it has gotten real serious in my part of the world.  On a whole lot of different levels.  Let’s change the subject.        Some days, things get more serious than others.  I got my haircut today.  I’m a  lot like the Ray Stevens haircut song,  “When you get a haircut, be sure you go back

Weird Science

Posted on May 08, 2014

There is some Weird Science that goes on in the livestock industry.  But back in the 80s, Weird Science was a hit movie with a hot chick in it.  Remember her, hunh…yep, Kelly LeBrock.  There were a bunch of other 80s movies that have become somewhat obscure, but I still stop the channel surfing when I see these flicks on the tube.  Some were huge hits.  Some, not so much.

Dirty Rumour Online Sale

Posted on May 07, 2014

Normally, I would say that a sale held on May 8 is a spring sale.  But our two days of spring are already over and we jumped right into the oven of summer.  100 degree days, 30-40 winds in the first week of May.  So, the Kelln’s & Seelkes are bringing you the Dirty Rumour summer sale.  Every kid in this sale is sired by either Joe Dirt or Rumour Has It.

Monday, Monday

Posted on May 06, 2014

Yes, it has been a Monday….all day long.  It could have been worse.  So, I’m not going to complain.  I’ll tell you about my weekend.  Kela flew back to OK for a wedding.  Tammy and Duke attended the wedding, then they all came back home Saturday afternoon.  All I can say, is that life in California is treating my girl good.  I didn’t want her to leave, but I’m glad that she is

Quotes

Posted on May 04, 2014

I like quotes.  They capture a snapshot of a person.  One bad quote can absolutely ruin a person.  Just ask that LA clippers moron.  The racist part is obvious. Why are we not more upset that this 80 year old dipshit gave his MISTRESS, yes, the chick that is NOT his wife, permission to sleep with any “black people”  as long as she isn’t seen or photographed with them?  Our society is so,

Nice

Posted on May 03, 2014

It was a very nice evening in this part of the world.  The wind wasn’t howling like a gutshot comanche on a black & white western movie.  It was still dry, but at least the wind wasn’t kicking the dog out of every living being–plant or animal.  But, it looks like the wind machine is going to fire back up next week along with the thermostat turned up.        I’ve

Good vs. Bad Day?

Posted on April 30, 2014

I’m still not sure.  But I can list you the lowlights real quick.  Here’s the bad. –WIND!    Jeeminy, holy, pick a lot of 4 letter words.  This crap is unreal.  I’m 43 years old and have lived in NW OK, SW KS and the TX panhandle all of my life (except for 4 GLORIOUS YEARS living in Stillwater, OK) and I have not experienced the absolutely BRUTAL, RELENTLESS, SHITTY wind that we

Watch the Video

Posted on April 29, 2014

Watch the video link.  Fighting Hunger…Feeding Hope.   If it won’t open from here, cut and paste it into your browser and it will go.         This turned out to be a neat deal.  Britt Taylor was actually the first one in Shattuck to say “I’m donating my pigs to the Diamond Hats for the food bank.”  Then it kind of starting snowballing and a pile of Shattuck kids donated their animals
