\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0At 6 am this morning, I asked the Dragon Lady if she had my wallet.\u00a0 I couldn’t find it.\u00a0 I knew where I had it last.\u00a0 I had been looking.\u00a0 I didn’t care about the cash.\u00a0 What I did care about was NOT having to cancel\/renew a debit & credit card not to mention a school fuel card & credit card as well as a lifetime hunting license, social security card and voter’s ID card.\u00a0 Oohh!\u00a0 \u00a0I shuddered at the thought of trying to gather all of that stuff up.\u00a0 A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…….I lost my ID and had to re-prove my existence in order to get it all back.\u00a0 In all honesty, I was prepared to just admit that I was an illegal immigrant and that I would register as a democrat if they just didn’t make me go through all of that crap again.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Most of all, I didn’t want to have to jump through all of the hoops in order to get a new copy of my driver’s license, which is made worse because I have a CDL.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 At 10 AM, I had to be at High Plains Technology Center (the Dragon’s place of employment).\u00a0 I got there, walked in and said, \u00a0“Ha ha!\u00a0 Joke’s over.\u00a0 Just give me my wallet back and you can keep all of the cash in it.”\u00a0 \u00a0She looked at me and said, “You seriously don’t have it?”\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
“No.\u00a0 And it is a sizable amount of cash.\u00a0 Just give the rest back to me.”\u00a0 I was joking.\u00a0 Not about the cash but I didn’t think that she took it.\u00a0 I really thought that it fell off of my dresser and her queer little dog had snatched it.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0It was a HUGE relief when the wallet was found.\u00a0 And it was found in the washing machine (I looked twice).\u00a0 Guess who found it?\u00a0 Yep.\u00a0 The Dragon Lady.\u00a0 Hunh?!?!?\u00a0 Suspicious?!\u00a0 \u00a0No.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 I held true to my word.\u00a0 Keep the cash and give me the rest of it.\u00a0 She said, “I am scared of keeping the cash?”\u00a0 \u00a0 What?\u00a0 Why?<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0“You have $666 in there.\u00a0 I don’t like that number.”\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
OOOHHHHH SNAPPP!\u00a0 I told her to not take it all.\u00a0 “Take $665 but whatever you do break that number up.”\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
She replied, “I don’t need any of it but I did buy $200 worth of plants today.”\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Me—“Take it. Take It.\u00a0 Just please break that number up.”\u00a0 I don’t want no bad ju-ju around here.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 And as the evening wraps ups, I decided to break the seal on a gift.\u00a0 I hadn’t had it before but I knew it would be good because John Q Kelln AND Tom Kester have both told me it would be good.\u00a0 I trust them.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 I popped the seal, poured a little bit over a couple of rocks of ice, took a sip and then proclaimed, “That’s really good.\u00a0 Smooth.\u00a0 I like it.”\u00a0 \u00a0The Dragon Lady then said, “Perfect!\u00a0 That fixes all of this.\u00a0 We were worried about that bad # and now you are ending this evening with Angel’s Envy.\u00a0 It got better.”\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Thanks to those that brought me a bottle of Angel’s Envy bourbon.\u00a0 The timing was perfect to break it out (It has been here for more than a month).\u00a0 To those that delivered such a prize…..I raise a glass, “Cheers to the success so far and for those awards yet to be realized.\u00a0 Trust me, one never knows the timeliness of how life works out.\u00a0 Thank you.”\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 For all of you poor souls that read this drivel.\u00a0 Take a moment and think about how EFFED up your life is without any cards, ID, etc.\u00a0 My phone also didn’t work for several hours this morning.\u00a0 As a whole, we are too dependent on these items.\u00a0 I am guilty.\u00a0 You are too.\u00a0 Get your minds right.\u00a0 Otherwise, you will end up buying a high dollar goat without a plan.\u00a0 It’s OK if you have a plan.\u00a0 But a sin without a plan.\u00a0 Have a good one.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
