{"id":4734,"date":"2022-03-31T02:44:23","date_gmt":"2022-03-31T02:44:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/?p=4734"},"modified":"2022-03-31T02:44:25","modified_gmt":"2022-03-31T02:44:25","slug":"imagine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/imagine\/","title":{"rendered":"Imagine"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Be like John Lennon and Imagine.\u00a0 It&#8217;s easy if you try.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This Wednesday (today) morning about 10:30, I grabbed a crew of sophomore boys and headed south of Shattuck to pick up some equipment.\u00a0 On the way back to town, the &#8220;fasten seat belt&#8221; light kept coming on and dinging.\u00a0 I told the co-pilot to buckle his seat belt.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Startled, he replied, &#8220;Mr. Kelln, we are on the highway!\u00a0 My seat belt is buckled.&#8221;\u00a0 I said, &#8220;Undo it and re&#8217;click it.&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Light still on.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That meant it was my seat belt but people, like always, I was fastened in.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We got to the ag building and the boys jumped out to start unloading the equipment.\u00a0 I wanted to get out but couldn&#8217;t.\u00a0 The seat belt would not release.\u00a0 I was trapped.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0No kidding.\u00a0 Couldn&#8217;t get out.\u00a0 A 2020 model pickup and the seat belt had me locked in.\u00a0 I pushed the red button repeatedly.\u00a0 I pulled on the belt.\u00a0 I turned the pickup off.\u00a0 Then re-started it.\u00a0 I put my foot on the brake.\u00a0 I put it in gear and then back in park&#8211;all while pushing the red button.\u00a0 I opened the door, turned up the radio, held my head sideways and my tongue out&#8211;and kept pushing the red release button.\u00a0 I made sure that I wasn&#8217;t plugged in to the wrong seat belt.\u00a0 I dug my phone out of my front pocket and called THE Rob Magness.\u00a0 He is the service manager for Jess Wales Chevrolet.\u00a0 He had never heard of this problem but would order me a new seat belt receptacle.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Dang!\u00a0 Now I have got to figure out how to get out of this thing.\u00a0 I kicked the door open, pulled the belt out as far as I could and then try to unfold.\u00a0 I&#8217;m only 5&#8217;10&#8221; according to my license.\u00a0 But with a bad right hip and worse right knee combined with bad angles of being in a drivers seat&#8211;well, I was tangled up like a pile of coat hangers.\u00a0 I had an Ecco shoe hung up on the side of the seat belt and my head\/neck tangled up in the rest.\u00a0 A sophomore boy came out of the ag building and I hollered &#8220;Get over here and help me.&#8221;\u00a0 Good kid.\u00a0 He pulled one side of the belt so that I could duck my head under and around it.\u00a0 Now I could get the opposite leg out.\u00a0 Like William Wallace, I felt FREEEEEEDOM!!! \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0There was one saving grace.\u00a0 Can you guess it?\u00a0 Nobody videoed it.\u00a0 Witnesses&#8230;.yes.\u00a0 In today&#8217;s society, hunh?!?
