{"id":4713,"date":"2022-03-06T00:28:56","date_gmt":"2022-03-06T00:28:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/?p=4713"},"modified":"2022-03-13T23:07:11","modified_gmt":"2022-03-13T23:07:11","slug":"random-ly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/random-ly\/","title":{"rendered":"Random-ly"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0This is one of those posts where I have SO much stuff to dispense but I know that I need to use jurisprudence.\u00a0 Do I mouth off that much and get a lawyer contacted or do I sit, wait, watch and say, &#8220;Told you so!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Let&#8217;s go random instead.\u00a0 Woodward opened a brand new McDonald&#8217;s on Friday.\u00a0 I did not go.\u00a0 Tammy did and she sent a pic of the new technology at the new place.\u00a0 The family text group had mixed emotions.\u00a0 Kela was like &#8220;Wow!\u00a0 I&#8217;ve seen those overseas.&#8221;\u00a0 \u00a0Duke was like &#8220;This warranted a picture?&#8221;\u00a0 And me&#8230;.well, I wish I had gone to the new McDonald&#8217;s on opening day.\u00a0 You see, in 1980, there were two, well maybe 3 things, that I vividly remember.\u00a0 One, was the heat wave that dominated the summer and all 3 tv channels.\u00a0 Two, was the brand new opening of A McDonald&#8217;s in Woodward, OK.\u00a0 It was such a big deal that my dad checked me out of school at Cedar Heights Elementary and took me to the brand spankin new McDonald&#8217;s to eat lunch.\u00a0 I got a happy meal that had a name-tag bracelet in it.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t think that I didn&#8217;t go back into that school sporting my new hardware!?!?\u00a0 I was pimpin.\u00a0 Lookin&#8217; back&#8230;I guess this is when I realized that my dad loved me best cuz those other 2 losers that I call brothers NEVER got to go to a McDonald&#8217;s opening day!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The third thing that I remember&#8230;.I got some shiny rocks.\u00a0 If only I knew how useful they would become.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Woodward District is over.\u00a0 It was outstanding.\u00a0 The quality of stock was wicked good.\u00a0 The show was ran real well.\u00a0 The facilities are top notch.\u00a0 The premium sale was THE BEST premium sale in Oklahoma!\u00a0 Shattuck only had 14 animals in the sale.\u00a0 I was hoping for 15.\u00a0 I am proud that we had all 4 species covered plus a dominating showing in the ag mechanics and LOTS of showmanship recognition and Shattuck ran the social media team for the show.\u00a0 Maybe the best part was that the steer was raised in Shattuck.\u00a0 One of the barrows was family raised AND I could say the other barrow was as Uncle Tom &amp; Aunt Nancy Lamle raised it.\u00a0 The grand lamb was raised AND shown by Clayton Washmon.\u00a0 We had a large percentage of the goats in the sale.\u00a0 None of them raised by me.\u00a0 (Didn&#8217;t sell any).\u00a0 \u00a0I will, however, brag that the highest priced goat on our string was $1,600 and it stood 2nd in class behind the grand.\u00a0 Everyone of our goat showmen will be profitable this year.\u00a0 Bet most of you clowns can&#8217;t say that.\u00a0 On a side note, our parental and community support is wicked good!\u00a0 How cool is it that our superintendent and principal attended every day of the show?\u00a0 They even hauled ag mechanics projects.\u00a0 And no, their kids don&#8217;t show.\u00a0 They were just there to support their students.\u00a0 Suprise!\u00a0 Even our 5 year retired superintendent was there watching &amp;
