{"id":4690,"date":"2022-01-24T04:09:26","date_gmt":"2022-01-24T04:09:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/?p=4690"},"modified":"2022-01-24T04:09:29","modified_gmt":"2022-01-24T04:09:29","slug":"meat-loaf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/meat-loaf\/","title":{"rendered":"Meat Loaf"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 I&#8217;m not a fan of meat loaf for dinner.\u00a0 However, I do like the scene in the movie Old School of Will Ferrell yelling &#8220;Ma!\u00a0 The meat loaf!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0But I actually like Meat Loaf.\u00a0 The singer that is.\u00a0 He&#8217;s made this blog at least a couple of times.\u00a0 I remember listing Meat Loaf and Lita Ford as one of the top rock duets of all time.\u00a0 And I know that I listed his album cover for &#8220;Bat Out of Hell&#8221; as the best album cover of all time.\u00a0 I hated to hear of his passing yet I have enjoyed reading the posts from other huge acts that are singing his praises.\u00a0 He was unique!\u00a0 He was really, really good yet there wasn&#8217;t and still isn&#8217;t any other act that compares.\u00a0 One of a kind.\u00a0 The dude could sing.\u00a0 You can play his music on rock channels, classic, pop, easy listening&#8230;.didn&#8217;t matter&#8230;.his stuff was\/is just really good.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 On Friday, we were out of school.\u00a0 Yet, I had a shop full of kids working.\u00a0 It&#8217;s all good.\u00a0 Well, except for when I was holding a pipe in place over my head.\u00a0 A kid made a tack weld.\u00a0 It sparked and a lil piece of molten hot magma hit me in the neck then managed to roll through chest hair and underneath my undershirt collar.\u00a0 It rolled southward, burning hair as it went.\u00a0 Right south until it stopped at my underwear waist band.\u00a0 Ohh&#8230;the smell of burnt hair!\u00a0 Now mind you, that spot where it stopped rolling is now irritated by the button on my jeans combined with the waistband of the Duluth Trading wear.\u00a0 I might have launched upwards like &#8220;A bat out of hell&#8221;.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0I had a couple of eff ups this weekend.\u00a0 First, there are a couple of hydrants around here that tend to freeze up.\u00a0 One of which I was so determined to change last February that I stuck a shovel into the ground right next to it.\u00a0 And I didn&#8217;t move the spade until Saturday.\u00a0 Dang neart made it a year.\u00a0 This pair of hydrants froze up again this week.\u00a0 Tammy used one of them when it thawed out &amp; now it leaked\\ran constantly.\u00a0 So&#8230;.late Saturday afternoon, I decided to dig it up.\u00a0 And then I broke the water line.\u00a0 Which meant that I made a quick trip to town to buy a cap.\u00a0 That line is now capped off.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Today, I decided to dig up the other one.\u00a0 Oh f&#8230;.f&#8230;..f&#8230;.f&#8230;FFFFFF!\u00a0 \u00a0Things like plumbing, carpentry and working on engines\/hydraulics&#8230;.it&#8217;s not that I can&#8217;t do it&#8230;..I don&#8217;t like doing it.\u00a0 Especially dealing with hydraulics.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t like the feel, smell or taste of hydraulic fluid.\u00a0 It just seems like things always go wrong.\u00a0 Today, I ended up having to roll the torch out and heat the living meat loaf out of it.\u00a0 Then dig the hole bigger in order to get a pipe wrench on the collar that should NOT have come loose from the bottom of the hydrant.\u00a0 ANYWAYS!!!\u00a0 We now have one less hydrant but one that shouldn&#8217;t freeze up.\u00a0 I think that equals out.\u00a0 On a side note, when buying hydrants, much like buying soda pop, chips and shoes&#8230;.ALWAYS, yes always&#8230;.buy the best brand possible.\u00a0 I like Woodford.\u00a0 Hunh&#8230;.hydrants as well as other items that go by that name.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0And on this fine Sunday evening, I decided that I wanted a shrimp boil.\u00a0 Tammy agreed as long as I cooked.\u00a0 Damn!\u00a0 \u00a0A shrimp boil is a little bit hard to cook for just 2 people.\u00a0 And now I know that one should NOT boil the taters, corn &amp; shrimp in the house.\u00a0 Mistake.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 I can cook but I am good at cooking for large groups.\u00a0 15 racks of ribs&#8230;sure.\u00a0 60 pounds of pulled pork&#8230;otay.\u00a0 125 burgers&#8230;.no probs.\u00a0 Cajun bawl&#8230;.you bet.\u00a0 We are still getting used to this cooking for 2.\u00a0 I cooked and I cleaned up.\u00a0 Sure, the house still smells like cajun spices.\u00a0 &#8220;Two out of three ain&#8217;t bad&#8221;.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Tammy puts up with quite a bit of my crap.\u00a0 I can get away with a LOT.\u00a0 Yet, if I decide to get a bunch of doe goats again&#8230;.I think that she will say &#8220;I&#8217;d Do Anything for Love&#8230;but I won&#8217;t do that&#8221;&#8230;&#8230;no I won&#8217;t do that&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;AGAIN!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Seriously, spark up your musik machine and play some Meat Loaf.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 I&#8217;m not a fan of meat loaf for dinner.\u00a0 However, I do like the scene in the movie Old School of Will Ferrell yelling &#8220;Ma!\u00a0 The meat loaf!&#8221;
