{"id":4660,"date":"2022-01-01T01:51:28","date_gmt":"2022-01-01T01:51:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/?p=4660"},"modified":"2022-01-01T01:54:17","modified_gmt":"2022-01-01T01:54:17","slug":"mount-rushmore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/mount-rushmore\/","title":{"rendered":"Mount Rushmore"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 This was a post that I was going to wait until January 17, 2022 to post.\u00a0 But, here it is.\u00a0 Too quick.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Christmas Night, Kela, Duke, Tammy and I were cooking and making things.\u00a0 We were playing music and discussing random trivia.\u00a0 The kids were trying to show me how to operate Spotify.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The topic of women in entertainment came up.\u00a0 I made the statement, &#8220;If there was a Mount Rushmore of women in the entertainment industry&#8230;&#8230;Dolly would be on there.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Kela agreed, &#8220;No doubt. But the George Washington of the group would be Lucille Ball.&#8221;\u00a0 We all agreed with that.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I said, &#8220;Who goes next?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Kela replied, &#8220;For me, I think that Carol Burnett has to be one of the four.&#8221;\u00a0 \u00a0Definitely, so funny and was a producer, writer, comedian, singer, director, etc.\u00a0 That lady had the best Tarzan call.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Duke then asked, &#8220;Who&#8217;s the fourth?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Tammy answered quickly, &#8220;Betty White.&#8221;\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Oohh!\u00a0 \u00a0 We all agreed.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You can&#8217;t argue that those 4 women are all-time classics.\u00a0 I mean you could argue but then you would be&#8230;well, wrong.\u00a0 These ladies were great but not just for their screen and musical work but also their business acumen and lengthy careers.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I challenge you to read up on these four ladies.\u00a0 It is interesting reading.\u00a0 Betty White might have the best bio as she personally dealt with WWII, sexism, racism and she worked in a wide array of mediums&#8230;starting with radio, to black &amp; white tv, color tv, HD tv, movies and she had to deal with social media, etc.\u00a0 And she excelled at all of it.\u00a0 I remember her SNL skit about a &#8220;Dusty Muffin&#8221;.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0I saw a post that said &#8220;On one hand, she was 99 years and 348 days old.\u00a0 On the other hand, she lived through 24 leap years&#8211;24 extra days.\u00a0 So, arguably she lived 100 years and 7 days.&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Here it is.\u00a0 The end of another year.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Things changed around the Kelln Kompound&#8211;A LOT!\u00a0 Not many goats on the premises.\u00a0 There has been some remodeling and additions with more planned.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Duke is working on wind turbines and has his own place in Weatherford, OK.\u00a0 It&#8217;s like he is an adult as he is concerned about cooking and cleaning supplies.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Kela is still working in Hollywood-just in different capacities.\u00a0 She did manage to squeeze in working on a season of The Amazing Race.\u00a0 This helped her constant need for travel and to see new things.\u00a0 She got back to Cali from OK.\u00a0 And then traveled to Mammoth Lakes for snow boarding.\u00a0 Not a boring life.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tammy had a successful trip to Houston with her mother.\u00a0 Tests revealed that things are looking very good.\u00a0 Our family has seen enough of this cancer shit.\u00a0 But my brother has tested clean and the MIL is kicking ass!\u00a0 Prayers do work.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t care what religion you adhere to&#8230;..just pray.\u00a0 Pray that people can pull their heads out of their own asses and quit watching the news, listening to politicians and just get back to living.\u00a0 In the upcoming year, just work to help other people.\u00a0 Help a neighbor.\u00a0 Help a kid.\u00a0 Help somebody in need.\u00a0 Make sure that you take some food to somebody that could use it.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>People, it is 7:53 pm on New Year&#8217;s Eve.\u00a0 I am fighting some sort of sinus deal&#8211;snot and sinus pressure.\u00a0 Covid?
