\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 I do not care if the sooners are in the big 12 or the sec.\u00a0 I do not lose sleep if OSU loses another bedlam football game.\u00a0 Fine.\u00a0 I have found that I can’t win most stock shows, speech contests or arguments with my wife.\u00a0 Doesn’t change my passion.\u00a0 The u of o will be fine in the SEC.\u00a0 Their athletic teams will most likely succeed.\u00a0 Good move.\u00a0 And no, I don’t think that they needed to take OSU with them.\u00a0 It is what it is.\u00a0 OSU has a great school with great fans!\u00a0 \u00a0UO has a great school with some of the worst fans on the planet.\u00a0 Which brings us to the worst fans.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Speaking of Bull Durham.\u00a0 Back in the early 2000s, Kela and I put together a nice little cow herd.\u00a0 Functional yet backed with clubby genetics.\u00a0 My brother Jake & I ended up at a cattle sale in Illinois.\u00a0 I bought a bull calf sired by Ice Pick back on a proven 17 year old Pistol Pete cow.\u00a0 We partnered and then weaned him on the drive home from Illinois to Oklahoma.\u00a0 We named that bull—Bull Durham.\u00a0 He worked.\u00a0 In his first calf crop, he sired a class winning steer at OKC as well as Houston, a breed champion steer at Enid District, a breed champion heifer at Woodward District and a class winning heifer at OYE–all were different calves.\u00a0 Seriously, premium sale steers at OKC & Houston as well as winning heifers.\u00a0 A lot of those promoted bulls in the catalogs never do that in their career.\u00a0 Bull Durham did that in his first calf crop.\u00a0 He also sired another good set the next year.\u00a0 And then, he was crippled and done.\u00a0 Yet, one of his daughters is the mother to a bull in a lot of catalogs.\u00a0 Hereford marked.\u00a0 No, we didn’t collect him.\u00a0 I was and am still a dumb ass.\u00a0 Hang around and I’ll prove it.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0side note–that 2nd year (2006) , Bull Durham calves were sold by 3 different jocks.\u00a0 Name brand.\u00a0 All 3 had the same marketing plan.\u00a0 The calves were advertised as Heat Wave x Ice Pick.\u00a0 At that point in time, I had never used Heat Wave.\u00a0 Oh well.\u00a0 Not much different than the goat industry.\u00a0 No matter the species, the current hot sire sells and the general public really doesn’t know much.\u00a0 They just know what they want to know.\u00a0 And the checks cashed, so I really didn’t care either.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
