\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Soooo, last Friday morning, I was delivering cucumbers & other veggies to the grade school cooks.\u00a0 As I left, I got in the ag pickup and well, I’m still not sure how I did this, but….\u00a0\u00a0Somehow, as I was closing the door, I slammed my left hand in the driver’s door.\u00a0 The door was now completely shut with my hand caught in it.\u00a0 With a lot of cussing, whistling and heavy breathing, I flailed for the door handle with my right hand.\u00a0 I don’t know how I did it and I still don’t know how it really didn’t break a finger or three.\u00a0 That was the start of Friday the 13th, in my world.\u00a0 The next 5 minutes involved a low fuel level light and then some red & blue lights.\u00a0 I kind of rolled through a stop sign on the way to a fuel pump.\u00a0 Oh well, the hi-po let me go.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Doctored a goat with the runs at the ag farm.\u00a0 A SMZ tablet and a few squirts of spectam.\u00a0 Showed a new showman the proper way to put a halter on a goat.\u00a0 And now, the halter breaking process will begin.\u00a0 A 4H kid sent me a text of her new goats names.\u00a0 I did not recognize the names.\u00a0 I guess that I need to watch Captain America.\u00a0 I am a firm believer that a good show animal, regardless of species, needs a good name.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Ate at a new (to me) BBQ place in KC.\u00a0 We had to wait in line until the place opened up at 11 am.\u00a0 I’ll probably have to go back there in October.\u00a0 Tammy & I highly recommend watching the Cardinals play ball at Kaufman Stadium.\u00a0 Excellent ball park.\u00a0 Great atmosphere and perfect weather.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 One day last week, I was in the grocery store in Shattuck.\u00a0 I passed a fruit display that was holding fresh peaches.\u00a0 The guy that takes care of the fruit & veggies saw me and told me that the peaches were exceptionally good.\u00a0 He wasn’t wrong!\u00a0 These peaches were so dang good, one probably needs to be naked to eat them.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 And now, I am disappointed in my wife.\u00a0 She went to the same store and was really proud of her purchase.\u00a0 She bought some more “peaches”.\u00a0 I took a look at them and explained that those, my love, are nectarines.\u00a0 Not the same.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Speaking of naked.\u00a0 I heard a story today about a father\/son talk involving the first day of taking a shower during jr. high athletics.\u00a0 Everybody in this gym class was 7th grade males.\u00a0 This boy did just as his father instructed him.\u00a0 Wore a towel to the shower, took it off, hung it up and then properly washed so as to not be the smelly kid the rest of the day.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0After school today, the dad asked the boy how it went.\u00a0 “I did just like you told me.\u00a0 But, Dad, I was the only one that was naked!”\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0I bet the others will learn not to wear wet underwear to class.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0That reminds me of 1983.\u00a0 Except, the jr. high practiced with the high school.\u00a0 Nobody prepared me for that.\u00a0 And people, there are a lot of differences between a 12 year old and some 19 year old seniors.\u00a0 Random thoughts, like “Wow, that’s a lot of hair….everywhere.”\u00a0 And, “Does that dude have 3 legs?”\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
