–It can be a meal unto itself.<\/p>\n
–It pairs well with anything.<\/p>\n
–Even those on a diet still use bacon (salad or baked tater topping)<\/p>\n
–It’s a breakfast food–Bacon & eggs\u00a0 It’s a lunch food–BLT sandwich and it’s a supper dish–Filet Mignon or a bacon cheeseburger.<\/p>\n
–It stores well.<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Anyways, many of you have heard of the 6 degrees of Bacon–Kevin Bacon that is.\u00a0 There is even some new commercial that plays to the 12 degrees of Kevin Bacon.\u00a0 (I can’t even tell you what company has this commercial–so much for those advertising $s that they spent)<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0As I saw this commercial, I thought “Hunh?\u00a0 I wonder how many degrees it would take to connect my dumbass to Kevin Bacon?”\u00a0 So, I typed in a name or two on the internet and walla!\u00a0 Wow.\u00a0 That didn’t take long.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Kevin Bacon played in “The Air I Breathe” with some dude named Evan Parke.\u00a0 Evan Parke played in “The Replacements” with Jon Favreau.\u00a0 Jon Favreau is the creater\/executive producer of “The Mandalorian”.\u00a0 Kela Kelln works for “The Mandalorian”.\u00a0 That didn’t take long.\u00a0 Now, I know that it is supposed to just connect any actor\/actress with Kevin Bacon; but, I was obviously bored at 3:13 am.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Now what is Kevin Bacon’s best movie role?\u00a0 \u00a0No, no.\u00a0 You can’t answer “Animal House” as he just had bit roles in that all-time great flick.\u00a0 And don’t answer “A Few Good Men” as that was the BEST movie in which he played.\u00a0 This dude has played in a lot of movies but his best roles come down to two different movies–“Footloose” (the 1984 original) or the 1990 classic thriller movie “Tremors”.\u00a0 \u00a0Me, I’ll vote for Val McKee on “Tremors”.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0How come nobody has named a buck Bacon?\u00a0 Everybody likes bacon.\u00a0 Bacon works on everything.\u00a0 etc.\u00a0 \u00a0“Live breedings available–Get your doe Bacon wrapped!\u00a0 \u00a0 Hunh?\u00a0 \u00a0Sons could be named Crispy Bacon, Bacon Bits and a really special one could be Filet Mignon.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0For some reason, I am now craving breakfast.\u00a0 Yet, there are no diners open at this time.\u00a0 And I don’t have time to wait as we are hosting a Welder’s Rodeo today, a bovine reprod lab on Thursday then hauling a class and kids to a livestock judging contest, while preparing a couple of kids for the state FFA speech contest.\u00a0 Oh, and to deliver some goats this weekend.\u00a0 \u00a0The end is near.\u00a0 It’s all good.<\/p>\n
