{"id":4150,"date":"2021-02-12T04:18:41","date_gmt":"2021-02-12T04:18:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/?p=4150"},"modified":"2021-02-12T04:24:32","modified_gmt":"2021-02-12T04:24:32","slug":"destruction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/destruction\/","title":{"rendered":"Destruction"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Destruction is not one word.\u00a0 It isn&#8217;t.\u00a0 It is two words&#8211;Doe Goats.<\/p>\n<p>Sure, there are more destructive elements in the world, such as weather.\u00a0 But, in the animal kingdom, it is hard to find a more destructive creature.\u00a0 How you say?\u00a0 Well let&#8217;s list it.<\/p>\n<p>1&#8211;Curse words&#8211;pick one, use em all (my favorites involve the terms&#8211;you sack of monkey crap, owl-headed, sideways-headed, the letter M and the letter F, then a whole string of expletives, throw something and the letters F &amp; U.)\u00a0 It&#8217;s kind of like watching Sesame Street with added verbs, nouns, adjectives and pronouns.\u00a0 Yes, we are talking about the obvious head butting on any object that can be hit.\u00a0 A doe can be a submissive in a group, but separate her and put a panel between her and the others and well, that female dog will act like she is tough and that panel is getting ready to be tore up like a fat kid ripping open a Twinkies package.\u00a0 Why do we burn horns on wethers\/bucks yet leave the horns on the destructive beasts?<\/p>\n<p>2&#8211;Rubbing.\u00a0 \u00a0Non-stop, year round.\u00a0 They will rub on anything and everything.\u00a0 Just like we learned in Earth science back in junior high, weathering is the term that applies.\u00a0 As a glacier scours the Earth, a doe goat will eventually erode everything in its path.<\/p>\n<p>3&#8211;Climbing.\u00a0 \u00a0This is the goat trick that absolutely destroys and wears down everything.\u00a0 Other species don&#8217;t have this ability.\u00a0 A round bale of hay&#8211;a goat will find its way to the top, which in turn wastes hay.\u00a0 Feet 3 foot high on a panel.\u00a0 Eventually the panel wears down. 11 wire barb wire fence&#8211;yeah, a doe goat will eventually take the tension right out of that defense.\u00a0 Constant upkeep. I want to see a name-brand doe with that name.<\/p>\n<p>4&#8211;Pawing&#8211;Yeah, have yourself a concrete foundation somewhere in the pen.\u00a0 A doe goat will paw next to it for a couple of minutes, then lay down.\u00a0 Several times a day, everyday, every month, every year.\u00a0 More weathering.\u00a0 I guaran-dang-tee-ya that if there is a concrete wall, foundation, retaining wall in the midst of a doe goat, that foundation will become exposed.\u00a0 Can a sow hog do the same?\u00a0 Yes.\u00a0 Yes they can.\u00a0 Which brings us to the next item.<\/p>\n<p>5&#8211;No other species can do all of the above.\u00a0 Yet, a doe goat can take it to the next level.\u00a0 They will climb on top and then CRAP on it.\u00a0 Then piss on it.\u00a0 There is a 1\/4 of\u00a0 a round bale left.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s climb on top, crap and pee on it while we are there and now, it is inedible.\u00a0 The dumb asses defiled their own food just because they could.\u00a0 Every time.\u00a0 Welfare?\u00a0 sure.\u00a0 Un-educated Democrats?\u00a0 Hard to deny the comparisons.<\/p>\n<p>6&#8211;The worst.\u00a0 Absolutely the worst part of a doe goat, is the complete lack of spatial awareness and the willingness to plow a friend doe at the feed trough, which in turn hurts a baby.\u00a0 I turn into Anakin Skywalker when I witness this.\u00a0 I want to kill them all. I hate them.\u00a0 They aren&#8217;t right.<\/p>\n<p>And that, my friends, should answer any questions about why I am selling out.<\/p>\n<p>Please be taking advance warnings of these weather warnings regarding this cold, cold shit!\u00a0 Take care of the stock, take care of yourselves and please say a prayer.\u00a0 We all need all of the help that we can get.\u00a0 Horseshoes and shamrocks to all of you!\u00a0 I hope that tomorrow will be better than today.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>P.S.\u00a0 I hope that I don&#8217;t know anybody in this 100+ pileup in Ft.
