{"id":3649,"date":"2020-06-30T03:34:03","date_gmt":"2020-06-30T03:34:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/?p=3649"},"modified":"2020-06-30T03:34:16","modified_gmt":"2020-06-30T03:34:16","slug":"2nd-hated-plant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/2nd-hated-plant\/","title":{"rendered":"2nd hated Plant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In NW OK, the sandbur is the most hated piece of vegetation. \u00a0However, in the year 2020, another plant is making a run for the most hated. \u00a0 Tribulus terrestris. \u00a0It is commonly called &#8220;puncture vine&#8221; \u00a0but it is also known as &#8220;goat head&#8221;. \u00a0If you&#8217;ve ever dealt with the seed of this plant, then you know why it is called a goat head. \u00a0The two horns and long narrow face resemble a goat. \u00a0Specifically, a satanic looking\/acting kind of Spanish recip kind of DOE.<\/p>\n<p>Normally, bermudagrass or buffalo grass keeps these things choked out. \u00a0 But, for some reason, not this year. \u00a0I had to pull a sweep plow across 50 acres to get rid of the goat heads. \u00a0No other vegetation was trying to survive, but for some reason, these things were making a massive move.<\/p>\n<p>I hate sandburs worse. \u00a0However, if you ever step on a goat head without shoes, you will probably use bad language.<\/p>\n<p>2020 is making a case for the most effed up year to date. \u00a0It is a history lesson all in one year. \u00a0 \u00a0AND we are only 1\/2 way through this POS. \u00a0We are getting to live through a dust bowl, plague, effed up politics, depression, stock market crash, social herding, etc. \u00a0Saharan dust plume\u2026..WTF???? \u00a0 \u00a0The wind has been miserable the past couple of days. \u00a0I guess it is the new norm here in paradise.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of screwed up like a pile of coat hangers. \u00a0In the month of June, I have traveled to 4 different states. \u00a0And I have yet to see any body bags being used for all the covid victims. \u00a0For that matter, I now know of one who has the antibodies from having the covid in Jan\/Feb, \u00a0one that had it and has finished quarantine and one that is currently in quarantine. \u00a0Nothing life threatening. \u00a0We don&#8217;t live very far from Dodge City, KS and Guymon, OK. \u00a0These are the two HOTTEST spots in Kansas and Oklahoma. \u00a0Packing houses and those workers that live in close confines of each other\u00a0make for a spreading ground for the Rone.\u00a0\u00a0It should be catastrophic. \u00a0Nope. \u00a0Just a bunch of positive tests for the media and politicians to pump up some statistics.<\/p>\n<p>I have been reluctant to nominate critters for the Tulsa State Fair. \u00a0I feel like they setup themselves up fairly early to pull the plug. \u00a0I truly thought that when the State Fair of Oklahoma pulled the plug on Friday morning that Tulsa would follow suit. \u00a0A lot of business decisions are executed on Friday PM in order to lesson the blow.
