{"id":3581,"date":"2020-05-22T02:58:23","date_gmt":"2020-05-22T02:58:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/?p=3581"},"modified":"2020-05-22T03:13:39","modified_gmt":"2020-05-22T03:13:39","slug":"just-stuff-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/just-stuff-7\/","title":{"rendered":"Just Stuff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This post is probably going to be horrible. \u00a0 Just a bunch of stuff to give old turds in Nebraska something to read. \u00a0Here we go.<\/p>\n<p>Since I first found my footing in Stillwater back in 1989, I have been a fan of the radio station the KATT, Rock 100.5. \u00a0I have fond memories of working in the OSU meat lab during the summer months with the KATT blaring from the radio. \u00a0A lot of meat can get cut while listening to Metallica&#8217;s &#8220;Enter Sandman&#8221;. \u00a0Currently, my pickup(s) don&#8217;t pick up the KATT in Ellis County. \u00a0There were, however, \u00a0certain locations, on hilltops, near Waynoka and Fairview that I could get the signal. \u00a0They have had a pair of disc jockeys, Rick &amp; Brad, that have been on the air for decades. \u00a0I love to catch Rick &amp; Brad theater. \u00a0Some are funny while occasionally some are wicked funny. \u00a0Nookie Green &amp; Redneck Pickup Lines are a couple that I will never forget. \u00a0And on Friday mornings, when they spend 30 minutes ahead of time, warning you to get the kids out of the car before Rick &amp; Brad Theater airs\u2026..<\/p>\n<p>I enjoy the driving days when I get into range of the KATT. \u00a0I change from XM to 100.5. \u00a0TwoFerTuesdays are awesome. \u00a0But, my all time favorite thing on the KATT is when the now ancient DJ Greg Zubek announces a song by the band RATT. \u00a0 He has a deeper, hippy sounding, cool while smooth delivery that would make you believe that he has been backstage at a LOT of concerts and knew where to get some good stuff before it became medicinal. \u00a0&#8220;Here&#8217;s ya some Ratta-tat-tat on the Katta-katt-katt.&#8221; \u00a0Typing it does not do it justice. \u00a0I love saying it but it&#8217;s wicked awesome when you hear Zubek say it over the airwaves.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m still a radio dude. \u00a0I grew up catching new tunes on the radio. \u00a0Country, rock, whatever. \u00a0I still prefer to listen to Okie State football on the radio. \u00a0My first memories of major league baseball was catching the Cardinals on some AM station. \u00a0And Old Busch stadium lived up to what I had seen on the radio.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s go a little random. \u00a0There is currently a geico insurance commercial that involves the band RATT. \u00a0This random couple have a home with a RATT infestation. \u00a0I like\/dislike this commercial. \u00a0If I have a RATT band living in my &#8220;cellar&#8221; ( some of you will get that)&#8212;-Well, then, we are having a party. \u00a0My dislike is that they keep playing the song &#8220;Round &amp; Round&#8221; throughout the commercial. \u00a0Great tune but they had so many others. \u00a0Play some Way Cool Jr.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of geico commercials. \u00a0They also have another pair of home owners that have an issue in a commercial. \u00a0Clogging. \u00a0Their upstairs neighbors are cloggers. \u00a0I hate this commercial. \u00a0Every single time that I watch it, I want to kick down a door, choke the adult in charge and kick the plate of spaghetti out of some kid&#8217;s hands. \u00a0I will NEVER have insurance from this company as a result of this commercial.<\/p>\n<p>And while on the topic of things that I hate\u2026..I don&#8217;t know if I have ever mentioned this before. \u00a0I hate dealing with doe goats. \u00a0Hate em. \u00a0I&#8217;ve got a few that I enjoy but as a whole\u2026\u2026..uoonhh!!<\/p>\n<p>Hay is getting rolled up. \u00a0Calves are taking well to grass. \u00a0The gardens are starting to go. \u00a0 Fresh okra, taters &amp; corn are on future menus. \u00a0I ate fresh eggs tonight.<\/p>\n<p>We need a rain here in paradise. \u00a0I&#8217;m older, grayer, fatter and loving life. \u00a0If I was any better than I would have to change my name to either Kevin Frazier or Carl Mize. \u00a0Not that those two fine specimens are fatter or grayer than I am but they are older and love life. \u00a0And either of those studs know where the good eats are located. \u00a0I&#8217;m in the mood to travel just to meet some cool dudes for lunch.<\/p>\n<p>Peace out! \u00a0 Horseshoes and shamrocks to all of you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This post is probably going to be horrible. \u00a0 Just a bunch of stuff to give old turds in Nebraska something to read. \u00a0Here we go.
