I’ve not been as busy as normal. \u00a0But I also haven’t been sitting around eating bon-bons. I haven’t been fishing\u2026yet. \u00a0But, it is on the horizon. \u00a0I’ve kidded out does, managed stock and trying to keep some first-timers milking and raising kids properly. \u00a0Not always easy. \u00a0I need to wean two sets of calves, but I’ve got to haul a couple to the butcher in order to make room. \u00a0I will be honest. \u00a0I take after my dad when it comes time to feed calves. \u00a0I like looking at fat cattle. \u00a0Better yet, I like eating those tasty dudes.<\/p>\n
We have yet to be hit hard by the rona virus in this part of the world. \u00a0It very may well be coming. \u00a0But, the lack of oilfield activity has crippled western Oklahoma and the Texas panhandle.<\/p>\n
I have watched some of The Ranch and several of Peyton’s Places. \u00a0Fired up ol’ smokey today. \u00a0Supper of baby back ribs, garlic\/butter red taters, carrots and fresh bread—–ooooohhhh, yeah!!!! \u00a0 Probably going to do it again later this week.<\/p>\n
Speaking of staying hooked. \u00a0The Shattuck Venture grocery store is off-the-hook wicked awesome. \u00a0Those cats have managed to keep shelves stocked and people served. \u00a0Customers have been driving over 120 miles to come to this grocery store. \u00a0Why? \u00a0Because they have meat, milk, bread, toilet paper and damn neart everything else that you are looking to buy. \u00a0These guys are hustling to get trucks from wherever and working all night to unload. \u00a0Wal Mart is running low on supplies??? \u00a0I wouldn’t know. \u00a0I do know that these hustlers are busting their ass. \u00a0I’m sure that they are making money but our community, county and area has a place to go get our products. \u00a0As an added bonus, these cats work great to help the Shattuck FFA. \u00a0If your grocery supplier isn’t keeping shelves stock, they need to be taking notes from this crew. \u00a0They are staying hooked!<\/p>\n
