We’ve all got ’em. \u00a0None of us like them. \u00a0This evening bill session was worse than normal. \u00a0Washing machine repair bill. \u00a0Pay it and be done. \u00a0Because we all know that I’m not going to wash any clothes by hand.<\/p>\n
Insurance bill for tractors, implements, drills, brush beaters, etc. –pay that dude cuz if a bad weather deal hits, that bill will seem cheap.<\/p>\n
Fertilizer and diesel bill. \u00a0I damn sure don’t like this bill at all. \u00a0But it is a necessity. \u00a0 I don’t like farming. \u00a0It costs money, costs more money and then a whole bunch of wait and see what the weather does. \u00a0Optimism and faith. \u00a0Farmers are optimistic that what they are doing will work and faith that GOD and Mother Nature will cooperate.<\/p>\n
Two tons of doe feed, a ton of creep\/buck feed and a calf creep feeder that needs filled. \u00a0It’s just money. \u00a0And 36 hours after feeding it, you can step in it.<\/p>\n
0% financing. \u00a0I have the John Deere Gator on a yearly payment plan with JDF. \u00a0That is one payment that does NOT cash flow but I will guarantee dang tee u that there ain’t nobody in the Kelln Klan that is going to go without that Gator. \u00a0We use it everyday. \u00a0I hated selling those things. \u00a0Price seemed high. \u00a0And there wasn’t much commission to be made. \u00a0Not as bad as selling a lawn mower, but damn close. \u00a0(I hated selling lawn mowers.)<\/p>\n
Customer(s), “Gosh dang, I can buy a good used, 4wd pickup for that price.”<\/p>\n
Me: \u00a0“Yes sir. \u00a0You can.”<\/p>\n
Then in August 2012, our 4 wheeler crapped the bed. \u00a0So, I brought a gator home to use while we built fence that weekend. \u00a0I bought that Gator on Monday. \u00a0We have since traded up to power steering and we will not be without a Gator. \u00a0You can just do things in a Gator that you can’t do in a pickup. \u00a0No comparison. \u00a0I wrote that check with fairly good penmanship.<\/p>\n
Duke took an order for a rocket stove this past spring. \u00a0The customer just wanted a stripped down version that wasn’t too tall. \u00a0It just needed to be a certain height for the customer’s mom to cook on while camping. \u00a0Doug Heshelman of Yellow Rose Ranch in Indiana placed this order. \u00a0I wrote about Doug several years ago. \u00a0He was and is “THE Indiana Uncle project”. \u00a0He has been raising goats for his family to show. \u00a0But, along the way, a whole bunch of other families, in various states across the Midwest have been winning with goats from Doug.<\/p>\n
