{"id":2909,"date":"2019-05-03T02:17:31","date_gmt":"2019-05-03T02:17:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/?p=2909"},"modified":"2019-05-03T04:19:51","modified_gmt":"2019-05-03T04:19:51","slug":"gladness-sadness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/gladness-sadness\/","title":{"rendered":"Gladness &#038; Sadness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m Back!!! \u00a0I apologize to those that have clicked to here looking for something. \u00a0But I have had way too many irons in the proverbial fire. \u00a0Something had to give and guess what\u2026this blog was it.<\/p>\n<p>I have a lot of gladness that the State FFA convention is done. \u00a0YESSS!!!!! \u00a0 \u00a0I&#8217;m glad to be done with CDE contests, proficiency awards, speech contests, star interviews, scholarship apps, entry deadlines &amp; on &amp; on &amp; on. I&#8217;m done for a bit.<\/p>\n<p>I have exceptional gladness for some of the kids that I get to work with. \u00a0I&#8217;m not saying that you don&#8217;t deal with good kids. \u00a0I&#8217;m just saying that I get to deal with a whole bunch of damn good ones. \u00a0I&#8217;ve got stories, moments and pics to back me up. \u00a0Might even be a tear or two involved.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m glad that, today, \u00a0I did my own chores. \u00a0The Dragon Lady has kept things\u00a0running. \u00a0I&#8217;m glad for her help. \u00a0There is a lot of gladness that graduation is oh, so near.<\/p>\n<p>We are exceptionally glad that when it comes to our parents health, that tests come back clean. \u00a0Tammy &amp; I aren&#8217;t getting any younger which means that our parents are\u2026.well\u2026.they are doing their best to hold their age. So far, it&#8217;s all good. \u00a0Thank GOD!!<\/p>\n<p>I do have sadness. \u00a0I have sadness as to how some of our politics work. \u00a0I have sadness about day2day things that aren&#8217;t right.<\/p>\n<p>I have sadness that there are first-timer does that don&#8217;t want to be a good mother. \u00a0(this is two fold&#8212;1) I don&#8217;t like it. \u00a02) There isn&#8217;t a close kill plant to get rid of crappy doe. )<\/p>\n<p>I also got a phone call telling me that Chewbacca was dead. \u00a0What? \u00a0Wait? NOOOOO!!!! \u00a0 Peter Mayhew passed away. \u00a0He was the big dude inside the hairy suit. \u00a07&#8217;2&#8243; of a big dude. \u00a0George Lucas wanted somebody that would be bigger than Darth Vader. \u00a0 Think about that. \u00a0When Lucas was writing this crap, he realized that somebody on the good side had to be bigger than the evil. \u00a0And he made it a character that used language that only a few could understand. \u00a0Everybody likes and knows Chewbacca. \u00a0Truly a transcendent character.<\/p>\n<p>But, I still have gladness. \u00a0I am truly glad to deal with the kids and parents that I get to deal with. \u00a0Why? \u00a0Those people make me a better person. \u00a0Well, most of them.<\/p>\n<p>And how cool is it that Chewbacca will be remembered for decades. \u00a0ICONIC. \u00a0Is he the best Star Wars character? \u00a0Han Solo is the epitome of cool but Chewie makes Han look cool. Hard to beat Vader, Yoda or R2D2. \u00a0No matter your opinion, there ain&#8217;t no arguing \u00a0Chewbacca is the best.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I think that I will go pull that Chewbacca onesie out of the closet that Lexi Vanderwork and Chesley Comstock brought me several years ago. \u00a0Here&#8217;s to Chewbacca and cool chicks with wicked awesome gifts.<\/p>\n<p>Have a good one and a better tomorrow. \u00a0Dude&#8217;s, I can promise you that I will. \u00a0It&#8217;s all good .<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m Back!!! \u00a0I apologize to those that have clicked to here looking for something. \u00a0But I have had way too many irons in the proverbial fire. \u00a0Something had to give and guess what\u2026this blog was it.
