Saturday was our scheduled day to clip and photo yearling bucks. \u00a0The weather report was warning of cold. \u00a0Fine. \u00a0We weren’t prepared for the wind. \u00a0Should have been but nobody warned us.<\/p>\n
I’ve been on a very tight schedule lately, so I did not load all the bucks and haul to Perry like I have in years past. \u00a0Instead, Braden Schovanec, Blaine Rue, Duke and I tackled them all. \u00a0Blaine & Braden clipping. \u00a0Duke and I washing and blowing. \u00a0Braden setting up bucks. \u00a0Duke running the camera. \u00a0Me barking some orders & keeping this crew in pizza. \u00a0It went really smooth. \u00a0These kids know how to work.<\/p>\n
Duke and I had already trimmed hooves, washed and clipped front ends. \u00a0We had repeatedly caught, braced and set each goat up. \u00a0Putting on an online sale is not as simple as grab a goat and take a pic. \u00a0There is a lot of work behind the scenes and ahead of time.<\/p>\n
On Saturday, we dealt with wind and lots of it. \u00a0It was supposed to be overcast–YES–overcast is good for photography. \u00a0But, a very bright sun kept jumping out at inopportune times. We made it work.<\/p>\n
Then, we headed over to Woodward to photo some Jan. born kids. \u00a0The Cockrehams had these washed and dried. \u00a0We clipped and photoed. \u00a0It went well.
\nBut, a not fun kind of day got fun. \u00a0Once goats were pictured, an actual trivial pursuit game broke out. \u00a0Who won? \u00a0No need to ask. \u00a0When it comes to worthless info\u2026that is right up my alley. \u00a0Then steaks were grilled. \u00a0Best photo shoot ever. \u00a0Good goats, fun game, great food and even better people. \u00a0Braden and Blaine each headed home to do chores. \u00a0Tyke and I went home to do chores and do important stuff which consisted of watching Talladega Nights. \u00a0Duke and Tammy were dealing with prom stuff.<\/p>\n
Pictures of yearling bucks and young kids will be up later this week. \u00a0There are some fun goats in each of these sets.<\/p>\n
