The Dragon Lady and I came walking into our homestead and Duke was home alone, watching a movie, in the dark. \u00a0Sometimes, when you walk in on an 18 year old male watching movies, you cringe. \u00a0But not on this night. \u00a0The favorite son was watching maybe the coolest movie ever made.<\/p>\n
I did not say the best (it could be), but people, we are talking about the cooooolest movie ever made.<\/p>\n
I had help with this list. \u00a0I originally asked the people in this house. \u00a0Then, I sent out a text to a select few INTELLIGENT folks. \u00a0Oh, they did not disappoint. \u00a0In fact, they even made me think about it.<\/p>\n
It is becoming cooler to use numerous judges to line up a given show. \u00a0And actually, I am a big fan of using the Olympic style.\u00a0Here goes.<\/p>\n
14–Die Hard–wicked cool. \u00a0Still relevant. \u00a0Bruce Willis makes the everyman look cool.<\/p>\n
13–Major League–love this movie. \u00a0So many cool characters. \u00a0Willy Mays Hays.<\/p>\n
12–Indiana Jones–pick one. \u00a0They are all cool. \u00a0Personally, the coolest moment, is Indy pulling a pistol to shoot the dazzling swordsman.<\/p>\n
11–For Love of the Game–I like baseball movies. \u00a0I like Kevin Costner’s characters. \u00a0I really like a lot about this movie. \u00a0It is way cool. \u00a0But cheesy.<\/p>\n
10–Star Wars–should it be #1. \u00a0Probably. \u00a0But this single movie(s) has probably created more nerds than any flick ever. \u00a0Cool. \u00a0Not cool. \u00a0 IDK<\/p>\n
9–Blazing Saddles–best movie ever? \u00a0possibly. \u00a0Funniest? probably. \u00a0Coolest? close, but it is like that Ratt song and a Tim McGraw song–“Way Cool Jr.” and “I like it, I love it”. \u00a0 DANG good but not #1.<\/p>\n
8–Revenge of the Nerds–this movie made being a nerd cool. \u00a0Such a crappy movie that it is still cool to watch.<\/p>\n
We are dealing with a really deep class that is packed with quality. \u00a0We had to sort off some good ones to get to this point. \u00a0I know that we normally only talk the top 5 \u00a0but we are dealing with a class full of stock that came to win.<\/p>\n
7–Quiet Man–Wait? What? \u00a0Wicked cool movie. \u00a0John Wayne was a bad ass and this movie took it to a different level. \u00a0So many cool moments in this flick. \u00a0I love this movie.<\/p>\n
6–Blues Brothers–6th? RUSM? \u00a0 This one could win most shows. \u00a0“There are 106 miles to Chicago. \u00a0We have a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it’s dark and we’re wearing sunglasses.” \u00a0Way cool movie.<\/p>\n
WHOA!!!! We’ve got an issue. \u00a0We just weighed one out. \u00a0Maybe the coolest movie of all-time– Pulp Fiction. \u00a0Look at that line up of characters. \u00a0Great story, cool music, cool ending, but only a fraction of the population can watch it. \u00a0Lots of issues. \u00a0This one didn’t pass the scales and probably wouldn’t pass a urine test. \u00a0But, dang that one is fun to watch\u2026for some.<\/p>\n
5–American Graffiti–How many cool movies did Harrison Ford act in? \u00a0Awesome movie that was cool to watch. \u00a0I know, I know\u2026you clowns forgot about this one. \u00a0Cool story, cool music, cool cars\u2026.cool. \u00a0Real cool.<\/p>\n
4–Bull Durham–The coolest baseball movie. \u00a0Cool characters\/actors. \u00a0Cool story. \u00a0“Sears sucks.” \u00a0 Cool, cool movie. \u00a0Cool moment–“What do you believe?”<\/p>\n
3–Man From Snowy River–the Dragon Lady submitted this vote. \u00a0Can’t argue. \u00a0But, this is her vote for best movie, best everything ever put on film, etc. \u00a0This movie is cool. \u00a0Cool story, cool characters and then her response, “The coolest thing ever filmed is Jim chasing the brombies over the edge. \u00a0Nothing cooler.” \u00a0She ain’t wrong.<\/p>\n
Duke went, “Hunh. Cool!” \u00a0I was like, “Yeah. \u00a0That is dang sure cool.” \u00a0She ain’t wrong. \u00a0This is a cool movie.<\/p>\n
Put it #1, I won’t argue.<\/p>\n
But, we are now down to two. \u00a02, dos, zwei. \u00a0This top pair is so cool that one of them has cool in the title and the other, well. \u00a0 Feel free to argue.<\/p>\n
2–Cool Hand Luke–Duke’s #1. \u00a0I love this movie. \u00a0In Duke’s word’s, “He took a pipe cutter and cut the heads off of parking meters. \u00a0Is that even still a crime? \u00a0And I am a kid and the movie is still cool\u2026.now. \u00a0Top that.”<\/p>\n
I can. \u00a0How?<\/p>\n
I’ll tell you how. \u00a0Duke, you are currently watching one of the coolest movies ever made. \u00a0 His reply, “Yeah, you got me.”<\/p>\n
The coolest movie ever made, not the best, although some of the best played in this flick\u2026..<\/p>\n
1–Smokey and the Bandit–the car, the lead actor, the lead actress, the sheriff, the sheriff’s son, the trucker, the trucker’s dog, the songs, the story\u2026. nothing but cool. \u00a0Maybe the coolest character of all-time–Sheriff Buford T. Justice.<\/p>\n

All of the above is open2discussion at the proper setting\/venue\/place. \u00a0 Over and out. \u00a0Which brings us back to Kris Kristofferson. \u00a0That Convoy movie is bad. \u00a0But, it is so cool that I would watch it again. I’m done.<\/p>\n
