I do like to eat. \u00a0Especially at places that I don’t get to go to very often. \u00a0We hit our annual stops at several restaurants in the Phoenix area.<\/p>\n
La Pi\u00f1ata–consistently very good Mexican food.<\/p>\n
My Mothers–turkey pot pie, fresh bread, way full when done.<\/p>\n
Pappadeaux’s–I think all of the stock show was at Pappadeaux’s on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n
The Duce–brisket sliders and cold beverages. \u00a0We watched the Notre Dame game while there. \u00a0That didn’t go so well for the Irish.<\/p>\n

We did hit a couple of new places. \u00a0Matt’s Big Breakfst was way good. \u00a0The salami scramble was top shelf.<\/p>\n

And then we went to a chicken place. \u00a0I don’t normally eat chicken. \u00a0So, it took me a bit to decide to try this deal. \u00a0Last year, Shroyer ate at this place 3 or 4 times. \u00a0Isbell’s went to it and came back raving about it. \u00a0So, Duke and I decided to give Lo-Lo’s Chicken a try. \u00a0The appetizers were huge and good. \u00a0I hedged my bet on the chicken and ordered a piece of chicken with a piece of catfish. \u00a0Good choice. \u00a0Best catfish that I’ve ever had. \u00a0Best corn bread that I’ve ever had. \u00a0Iced tea was perfect. \u00a0Red beans & rice were very good. \u00a0Fun place with huge portions. \u00a0All the Kool Aid that you would ever want.<\/p>\n

We stopped in Las Cruces on New Years Eve. \u00a0I pulled into a gas station and fueled up. \u00a0Duke and I weren’t starving so we decided to get us a gas station hot dog right off the rollers. \u00a0The clerk had just clocked in and said that she didn’t know how fresh the hot dogs were, so they were free. \u00a0Duke then inquired about the Krispy Kreme donuts. \u00a0She said “Take one.” \u00a0So he took ONE box of donuts. \u00a0Fortunately, the hot dogs were still good and caused no gut incidents.<\/p>\n
