There was a concert in the fall of ’89 in Gallagher-Iba Arena at Oklahoma State University. \u00a0Ricky Van Shelton was the headliner and Clint Black was the next most important act. \u00a0And introducing Garth Brooks. A couple of years later, Garth returned to Stillwater with a big concert.<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Dude, “Much too young to feel this damn old” is one of my all time favorite songs. \u00a0“The Dance” is one of my favorite videos and songs. \u00a0I have several unique Garth stories. \u00a0I like his music. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n I don’t like his politics but I respect that he has, for the most part, kept his politics out of his entertainment. \u00a0I wish other actors and artists would do the same. \u00a0There is some wicked cool Garth stories regarding him donating time, effort and $s. \u00a0 The dude is legit.<\/p>\n Last night, we headed to Canadian, TX to feed Duke a steak. \u00a0On the way there, he decided that he wanted to go to the\u2026.wait for it\u2026.Stumbling Goat. \u00a0 So, we did. \u00a0Good food but no live entertainment on this night. \u00a0Duke did buy some Texas lottery scratch offs (no winners) and he did drive home. \u00a0He didn’t have to, he wanted to. \u00a0Why? \u00a0Driver has control of the music. \u00a0If you know me, that means something.<\/p>\n So, I listened to his stuff. \u00a0Koe Etzel\u2026not bad. \u00a0Turnpike Troubadors\u2026 okay. \u00a0Great Divide—–Hell Yeah! \u00a0 Cross Canadian Ragweed\u2026..Dude, you are in my wheelhouse at this point. \u00a0Wait\u2026I know that voice\u2026.is that\u2026.on spotify\u2026..well, yes\u2026.Panhandle Dirt. \u00a0 COOOLLL! \u00a0 \u00a0And if you don’t know, the lead singer of Panhandle Dirt is Bowdy Peach. \u00a0 He might have been to a wether goat show or three. \u00a0 \u00a0 Garth\u2026.YES! \u00a0 Which got us to talking about Bob Childers. \u00a0Which is a story for a later date.<\/p>\n Tonight, there was a concert on cbs with Garth. \u00a0Garth at Notre Dame. \u00a0Stadium tour kickoff. \u00a0Cool deal. \u00a0One day, sometime, I will go to a game at Notre Dame. \u00a0I’ve been waiting for Okie State to play there but that doesn’t look like it is in the works. \u00a0So, I may have to come up with some new strategery to have a justifiable excuse. \u00a0I digress.<\/p>\n Tammy and I watched this concert on tv tonight. \u00a0Several thoughts rolled through my skull.<\/p>\n 1–Where does Garth rank amongst the greatest concert showman of all time? \u00a0I am going to say “3rd”. \u00a0With KISS being #2 and Elvis being #1. \u00a0Garth obviously was a fan and took notes from both. \u00a0Job well done since nobody took country music this high or as big as what Garth has done.<\/p>\n 2–If you are as big a star as Garth, and you are in Notre Dame stadium, shouldn’t you end the show with a “Rudy” moment and get carried off the field? \u00a0IDK, just thinking…<\/p>\n 3–I think I know where I want to go, to see Garth perform live, in a stadium. \u00a0Maybe it’s just me, but\u2026.Garth, in Tiger Stadium, in Baton Rouge, singing “Calling Baton Rouge” would be pretty bad donkey. \u00a0Plus, the day\/week spent eating red beans & rice, andouille sausage and other cajun treats. \u00a0The first time that I ever had bread pudding was in Thibodeaux, LA. \u00a0Wicked bad ass. \u00a0A day later, I was in New Orleans looking at the white alligators. \u00a0Not albinos, these gators had blue eyes. Magical. Truly one of the coolest things that I have ever seen.<\/p>\n 4–No matter what you think of Garth Brooks, his Xm55 channel is one of, if not the best, channel on radio. \u00a0Good tunes.<\/p>\n If you are in the Texas Panhandle or in NW OK, then you need to make a stop at the Stumbling Goat. \u00a0Greasy burgers and bad service is their slogan. \u00a0Take it from there.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n And if you read that monopoly stuff and got pissed, well then, you might ought to read it again. \u00a0If you don’t know what the genetics are that you are leasing, well then, you are spending too much and you are probably walking \u00a0with a hitch after getting\u2026…<\/p>\n And the next line will be, “Let me take care of selling those for you” \u00a0which means, “since you don’t know the genetics anyways, I might as well control that part of your program as well.” \u00a0But, I’ll throw enough back your way that you don’t question it.<\/p>\n In the real world, that is called a pimp.<\/p>\n Tomorrow morning, I will get texts & calls asking me to stop, shut up\u2026.. \u00a0 “We don’t want semen or bucks cheaper. \u00a0\u00a0You are taking money out of the industry.” \u00a0 No. \u00a0 No. \u00a0I am not. \u00a0On the contrary. \u00a0Front row seats will cost more if they are dang sure good. \u00a0A sure-enough- good one will bring top dollar. \u00a0 That common stuff that you are spreading, which needs a shot of penicillin, will de-value the market and put people out of business.<\/p>\n When these reproductive specialists can gaurantee 75% conception (heck, 50% would be great), then we can & should expect high $ for straws of semen. \u00a0Until then, the prices of unproven goat semen shouldn’t be so high. \u00a0However, high quality, \u00a0proven semen should be worth more. \u00a0If you are selling goat semen, there should be a motility test to back it up. \u00a0Not all collectors or sellers have standards. \u00a0There should be an industry standard. \u00a0If you buy from us and something doesn’t seem right, call. \u00a0My number is on the website. \u00a0Leave a message or text. \u00a0We will make it right.
