I got smoked Saturday night. \u00a0No, not like that. \u00a0I literally got smoked. \u00a0How? \u00a0Well, I’ll tell you. \u00a0I went to the pig sale in Woodward. \u00a0Ate the awesome breakfast. \u00a0Then I stopped at another farm sale. \u00a0Then I headed back to Shattuck to the Holt family pig bid off. \u00a0And that is where I got smoked.<\/p>\n
The wanted to grill pork burgers and brats. \u00a0The weather was hit and miss. \u00a0It was getting colder and kind spitting rain. \u00a0 So, Barcaly put his traeger inside his stock trailer. \u00a0Good plan! \u00a0Washmon and I fired the grill up and started throwing burgers and brats. \u00a0By the way, I love pork burgers. \u00a0I also really like brats. \u00a0And I really, really like dipping the broken pieces of either into some bad ass home-made fresh HOT salsa.<\/p>\n
That traeger was packed with pork products. \u00a0Washmon and I were feeding the masses and inhaling smoke. And more smoke. \u00a0Oh, that smoke was providing a tasty flavor to the pig but it was also smoking us out. \u00a0The glass was out of the trailer but there wasn’t any air moving through it. \u00a0I stuck it out until all the food was cooked. \u00a0But dang dude. \u00a0I was smoked.<\/p>\n
And I felt it the next morning. \u00a0My chest was still kind of full, my nasal passages weren’t quite right. \u00a0I felt sluggish. \u00a0I’m pretty sure that if you cut me open, I have the pink smoke ring of a well cooked smoked meat. \u00a0Washmon and I decided that next year, we will cook in the rain before we move the traeger inside the trailer again.<\/p>\n
Welcome to winter. \u00a0It was fall for two days and now a killing freeze. \u00a0Finally had an evening that wasn’t wet so I put out hay, lots of hay. \u00a0Cows, calves and does all got fresh bales. \u00a0I put a creep feeder in with the mini herfs. \u00a0I don’t think that midget cattle were on the manufacturer’s minds when they built the creep gates.<\/p>\n
