{"id":2421,"date":"2018-08-20T02:41:53","date_gmt":"2018-08-20T02:41:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/?p=2421"},"modified":"2018-08-20T03:12:31","modified_gmt":"2018-08-20T03:12:31","slug":"i-like-that-story","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/i-like-that-story\/","title":{"rendered":"I like that story"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>No, I didn&#8217;t get my part. \u00a0Yes, it is supposed to be here on Monday afternoon. \u00a0YOU DANG SKIPPY that I got my donuts. \u00a0I bought a dozen fresh Daylight donuts. \u00a0I ate one. \u00a0Let some seniors eat some of them. \u00a0Then we had a bit of economics lesson on the last three. \u00a0It is called supply and demand. \u00a0I sold the first one for $3. \u00a0Then the next two brought a dollar each. \u00a0I bet that group of kids will remember that donut auction more than any lesson that they encounter in school. \u00a0Welcome to the real world.<\/p>\n<p>I did learn something while at the donut shop. \u00a0That was the first day of school for Woodward. \u00a0And there was a high # of hot moms there with their kids. \u00a0If the Dragon Lady kicks me to the curb. \u00a0I now know where there is a target rich environment. \u00a0Of course, that only happens once a year.<\/p>\n<p>I needed to make a mile or two looking for some wethers for kids. \u00a0But, I stayed near home. \u00a0I&#8217;m glad that I did. \u00a0We had a visitor here on Saturday morning. \u00a0He was just here to pick up a deal or two. \u00a0But, with all the rain and no wind, it was dang nice just sitting and BSing. \u00a0Plain, glazed donut awesome.<\/p>\n<p>Then, the same thing happened Sunday evening with different people. \u00a0Just chill. \u00a0I am scared to say anything about our weather here in paradise. \u00a0We are as wet, green and wind free as I can EVER remember for a July and August. \u00a0I don&#8217;t have enough goats to keep the weeds ate down.<\/p>\n<p>Grumpy Old Men is on and will be followed by Grumpier Old Men. \u00a0I love those movies. \u00a0They were so well made and so dang funny!<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;&#8220;I find you disgusting.&#8221; \u00a0 \u00a0 &#8211;&#8220;Well, just as long as you find me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Grandpa: Relax. Kids swallow quarters all the time.<br \/>\nMelanie: Really?<br \/>\nGrandpa: Sure. If she craps out two dimes and a nickel, then you can start worrying.<\/p>\n<p>In both movies, they go fishing. \u00a0It is August of 2018 and I have yet to wet a line. \u00a0Things are going to have to change.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">Grandpa: &#8220;Well let me tell you something now, Johnny. Last Thursday, I turned 95 years old. And I never exercised a day in my life. Every morning, I wake up, and I smoke a cigarette. And then I eat five strips of bacon. And for lunch, I eat a bacon sandwich. And for a midday snack?&#8221;<br \/>\nJohn: &#8220;Bacon.&#8221;<br \/>\nGrandpa: &#8220;Bacon! A whole damn plate! And I usually drink my dinner. Now according to all of them flat-belly experts, I should&#8217;ve took a dirt nap like thirty years ago. But each year comes and goes, and I&#8217;m still here. Ha! And they keep dyin&#8217;. You know? Sometimes I wonder if God forgot about me.
