I’m a bit stand-off-ish and can seem like an ass. \u00a0Fine by me. \u00a0I have many acquaintances but only a few that I consider true friends. \u00a0I’m talking about people that will help others before they worry about themselves. \u00a0The stock show world has led my family to become friends with a family that fits this bill. \u00a0And when I say a stock show family, I am talking about one of the very best stock show families that have ever shown stock. \u00a0Success with goats, pigs, cattle and even a sheep or two.<\/p>\n
The Schovanec family has fought through health issues for the past two years. \u00a0It hasn’t been easy as Christi has been fighting cancer. \u00a0Travis has managed to keep the farm running and kids busy through it all. \u00a0Throw in tough agriculture times and it hasn’t been easy. \u00a0But, they have managed. \u00a0And they have done it as a family.<\/p>\n
Travis absolutely loves helping others improve their showmanship skills. \u00a0He is ate up with it. \u00a0Loves it! \u00a0Won’t take money, just wants to help. \u00a0Braden, Halie and Carson are all incredibly talented showmen. \u00a0Braden was hall of fame level at showing goats. \u00a0Halie was better. \u00a0Carson likes those dang pigs and has an addiction to cool stock trailers. \u00a0The kids are ultra-successful.<\/p>\n
Now, Christi is fighting full blown leukemia. \u00a0She will be in OKC most of this month during chemo. \u00a0Throw in some other health issues with her mother and things are not sunny. \u00a0None of these people would ever ask for help but will and have always helped others. \u00a0But, I will gladly ask for them. \u00a0Prayers, that’s it. \u00a0Just take a moment or two to say a prayer for this family. \u00a0 Prayers. \u00a0Maybe send a note to any of them. \u00a0You may not get a reply from Travis, you will from Braden. \u00a0Any and all prayers would be appreciated. \u00a0Thank you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
