{"id":2053,"date":"2018-02-07T03:47:27","date_gmt":"2018-02-07T03:47:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/?p=2053"},"modified":"2018-02-07T03:47:38","modified_gmt":"2018-02-07T03:47:38","slug":"world-champion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/world-champion\/","title":{"rendered":"World Champion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the goat show world, anymore, I&#8217;m not sure what would qualify as a world champion. \u00a0However, I have recently encountered a world champion. \u00a0Not that it was identifying itself with a big belt or trophy. \u00a0I have wrestled this champion for almost 35 years (so that rules out the Dragon Lady for you smart asses). \u00a0This wrestler almost always wins.<\/p>\n<p>I enjoy a good wrestling match. \u00a0Okie State is wicked awesome! \u00a0But this one ain&#8217;t fun. \u00a0This champion is known as a blower hose. \u00a0It doesn&#8217;t matter if it is a Sullivan&#8217;s, Hamm&#8217;s, cicuiteer I, II or III, \u00a0no matter what the hose is a son-of-a-gun to wrestle. \u00a0Put it in a trailer&#8211;you have to wrestle the hose to get it right. \u00a0Back of a pickup&#8211;watch out&#8211;the hose will twist around and scratch some paint. \u00a0Just carry it from the barn to another barn&#8211;the hose is always twisting, lurking, reaching out and getting ready to pin somebody to the mat. \u00a0Anybody that has ever moved a blower and its hose understands this wrestling match. \u00a0I&#8217;ve probably mentioned this before, but\u2026..<\/p>\n<p>Years ago, I heard an old-timer say that he didn&#8217;t want a parachute if he ever jumped out of an airplane. \u00a0WTH? \u00a0Nope. \u00a0He just wanted a set of welding leads or an extension cord as those things always get hung up on something. \u00a0I&#8217;m pretty sure a blower hose would fall into this same category.<\/p>\n<p>This toe deal is not fun. \u00a0I did go to the orthopedist on Monday. \u00a0He studied X-rays, then looked at my toe and foot. \u00a0He allowed that it was healing nicely and we had two options. \u00a01&#8211;knock me out, reset the toe, use pins and a plate, several weeks with a boot and crutches, prevent infection and no guarantees that it would be straight. \u00a02&#8211;don&#8217;t do crap and have a toe that is always signaling a left turn. \u00a0Yes, I am fine with a crooked toe. \u00a0I think that I will call that toe, Clyde. \u00a0Left turn Clyde! \u00a0I know, I know, it was always a right turn with the orangutan.<\/p>\n<p>Anybody that has ever had a toe injury has not made fun of me. \u00a0But, several have tried to come up with names as I scoot around on a gimped up foot. \u00a0My favorite&#8211;the Hobbling Hobbit. \u00a0Even though my size 10, B width feet look more like Gollum&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>Time to shuffle off to bed or a couch. \u00a0I have had enough for this day. \u00a0Time to get ready for tomorrow and a better day.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the goat show world, anymore, I&#8217;m not sure what would qualify as a world champion. \u00a0However, I have recently encountered a world champion. \u00a0Not that it was identifying itself with a big belt or trophy. \u00a0I have wrestled this champion for almost 35 years (so that rules out the [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/2053"}],"collection":[{"href":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/3"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=2053"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/2053\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":2055,"href":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/2053\/revisions\/2055"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2053"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=2053"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=2053"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
