When Tammy and I first got married, she couldn’t cook anything but lasagna. \u00a0A whole big dang pan of lasagna. \u00a0She would cook it on Sunday. \u00a0It was good. \u00a0Real good. \u00a0I would heat it up again on Monday. \u00a0By Tuesday, I needed a break and so I made a sandwich. \u00a0Wednesday, I would reheat another chunk of lasagna. \u00a0Then I didn’t touch it again. \u00a0And by Friday, it had penicillin growing on it. So we would chunk what was left. \u00a0Then, on Sunday, she cooked again\u2026.guess what\u2026.Lasagna. \u00a0It was a vicious circle until she tried some other recipes that didn’t work out. \u00a0That is another story. \u00a0Even though she tried to burn me out on lasagna, I still like the stuff. \u00a0Noodle, ricotta, meat, sauce, noodle, ricotta, meat, sauce\u2026..I’m getting hungry thinking about it.<\/p>\n
Tonight, (no lasagna for me) as I stroll through Facebook, I see that some dude in perrydise is now promoting his buck\u2026.Lasagna. \u00a0It kind of pisses me off. \u00a0Why? \u00a0Let me tell you.<\/p>\n
I made a couple of tours through Texas and Oklahoma in the summer of ’15. \u00a0I looked at wethers and bucks all across the land. \u00a0I went dang neart every week for a couple of months. \u00a0I hauled his dumb ass with me on one of these trips. \u00a0I drove every mile. \u00a0One of the stops was outside of Hico, Tx. \u00a0Kevin Mock’s place after dark. \u00a0We looked at some bucks that were to later become Blacklist and Hammertime. \u00a0During that stop, Milligan ends up buying this Henkhaus doe. \u00a0He brings her home and breeds her to Frank the Tank.<\/p>\n
To thicken the plot, you need to know that I wanted to buy Frank the Tank. \u00a0One eyed, one nutted, wide based, huge backed, assed and big ribbed. \u00a0My kind of deal. \u00a0NO! \u00a0He wouldn’t sell. \u00a0Now, he has a kid out of Frank and the doe that I drove him to buy. \u00a0I see the kid last year out of this mating. \u00a0“Dude, what’s that?”<\/p>\n
“Just some deal layered in goodness.” \u00a0WTF?! \u00a0“You wanna sell him?”<\/p>\n
He replies, “He ain’t a wether!” \u00a0No $h!t \u00a0“I want him with his nuts in him.” \u00a0Can’t do it. \u00a0Why?<\/p>\n
He replies, “I’m not real good at sharing. \u00a0I just want him for myself.” \u00a0Insert a lot of 4 letter words and there is the basis of the conversation between myself and my “friend” Tommy Milligan about the buck now known as Lasagna. \u00a0I wanted to name him something with change because he could change a dairy goat into a wining show wether. \u00a0I thought that I had a pretty good track record with buying and selecting bucks. \u00a0But, NOOOOO! \u00a0 Like a bad prom night, that’s all I could get. \u00a0NO!<\/p>\n
He didn’t keep him hid last summer. \u00a0But you had to be in Perry to know about him. \u00a0I’ve handled a lot of good ones. \u00a0Some of the best ever. \u00a0Not all of them. \u00a0But a lot of them. \u00a0This one is one of the roundest ribbed, squarest racked, widest & flattest loins on a goat that I have ever handled. \u00a0Throw in a monster ass with plenty of bone and enough look to make you want to buy more does. (Well, maybe not more than one or two) \u00a0And just like a pan of lasagna, you can’t appreciate him until you have your hands on him. \u00a0 Fork that deal and wait for it to cool down. \u00a0NO, he wasn’t for sale. \u00a0Then I tried to lease him. \u00a0NO! \u00a0Stingy bastard! \u00a0 \u00a0He was like Gollum with his precious! \u00a0MINE! \u00a0Now, finally, he is offering semen on him. \u00a0My luck has been crap but I have to wrestle with the decision of buying semen or wishing that I would have. \u00a0I ain’t buying any of it. \u00a0It’s a matter of principle. \u00a0But…I would partner with someone.<\/p>\n
