{"id":1914,"date":"2017-11-26T16:39:25","date_gmt":"2017-11-26T16:39:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/?p=1914"},"modified":"2017-11-26T16:39:37","modified_gmt":"2017-11-26T16:39:37","slug":"thanksgiving-weekend-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/thanksgiving-weekend-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Thanksgiving weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was ready for this break. \u00a0Although we weren&#8217;t in school, I did spend several days dealing with livestock projects. \u00a0Unfortunately, there were several pigs that need doctored.<\/p>\n<p>Thanksgiving day brought a pile of people to our house. \u00a0Smoked turkeys and LOTS of good eatings were provided. \u00a0The pile of pies that I bought did not stack up to the home-made pies.<\/p>\n<p>We did get a little bit redneck Thursday afternoon. \u00a0The weather was perfect and nephew Jett wanted to practice shooting. \u00a0Tammy let us use the pumpkins that were stacked around outside for decorations. \u00a0It didn&#8217;t take long to decide to cut one pumpkin open and insert a pound of tannerite. \u00a0Then we stacked more pumpkins on top and around that one. \u00a0It was awesome. \u00a0Pumpkin parts were scattered all over the pond area.<\/p>\n<p>Friday found us AIing cows. \u00a0Saturday brought a day of building goat pens and moving does and bucks around. \u00a0One thing with goats, there needs to be a strategy when building pens and goats. \u00a0There needs to be alleys, catch pens and dividers that keep does from destroying panels. \u00a0An aerial shot of my various pens would look like a Chinese gopher tunnel system but it works.<\/p>\n<p>Have a good one.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was ready for this break. \u00a0Although we weren&#8217;t in school, I did spend several days dealing with livestock projects. \u00a0Unfortunately, there were several pigs that need doctored.
