There has been a leaning windmill tower on our place since 2013. \u00a0Somebody (not me) hit it with a plow that summer. \u00a0It has been leaning a bit more every year. \u00a0Duke and I were going to set an anchor and hold it into place but we didn’t get around to it. \u00a0Just never was that big of a priority. \u00a0Now, it has been taken down. \u00a0We no longer have the leaning tower.<\/p>\n
Only about 50 yards southeast of that windmill tower, there has been a dead spot in the ground all summer. \u00a0The ground was really soft in that spot. \u00a0I knew that there was an old saltwater disposal line that run through that field, so I didn’t think much of it. \u00a0However, on Sunday morning, I was on a tractor moving round bales out of the field. \u00a0As I passed this dead spot, on the down wind side, I smelled gas–as in natural gas. \u00a0Sure enough, this spot was right in line with 3 different fence post risers that mark a gas line. \u00a0There is a T in the pipeline at that point. \u00a0I called the 1-888 # on the risers. \u00a0Sure enough, there is now a marker from the pipeline company marking the leak.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
