{"id":1695,"date":"2017-08-15T11:33:10","date_gmt":"2017-08-15T11:33:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/?p=1695"},"modified":"2017-08-15T11:33:22","modified_gmt":"2017-08-15T11:33:22","slug":"mutiple-reasons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/mutiple-reasons\/","title":{"rendered":"Mutiple Reasons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It hasn&#8217;t been taking very long to get the round of chores done around here lately. \u00a0Why? \u00a0It doesn&#8217;t take long to fill water tanks.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0There are numerous water holes that are holding fresh water. \u00a0The does in the pasture aren&#8217;t even coming in to the corrals.<\/li>\n<li>It has been fairly cool (especially for August) so there hasn&#8217;t been much evaporation.<\/li>\n<li>The regular rainfall has kept tanks and troughs full.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I used that engineering marvel known as a wee bander last week. \u00a0Guess what? \u00a0It works. \u00a0 \u00a0We banded a big nutted dude on Thursday. \u00a0He limped around on Friday, a little on Saturday and we cut the sack off on Sunday afternoon. \u00a0Unlike my previous banding methods, I cannot do this banding operation by myself. \u00a0Somebody has to hold the goat still so that both hands can be used to operate the machine. \u00a0If you use one of these things, I highly stress watching the video a couple of times. \u00a0And then, do a practice run. \u00a0Once you see how the tool works, it all makes sense and then it gets easier to operate.<\/p>\n<p>Have a good one.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It hasn&#8217;t been taking very long to get the round of chores done around here lately. \u00a0Why? \u00a0It doesn&#8217;t take long to fill water tanks. \u00a0There are numerous water holes that are holding fresh water. \u00a0The does in the pasture aren&#8217;t even coming in to the corrals.
