{"id":1673,"date":"2017-07-31T13:33:20","date_gmt":"2017-07-31T13:33:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/?p=1673"},"modified":"2017-07-31T13:33:30","modified_gmt":"2017-07-31T13:33:30","slug":"lucky-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/lucky-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Lucky"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lately, I&#8217;ve been pretty lucky. \u00a0First off, I got that Gator in to Deere before the warranty ran out. \u00a0Next, it wasn&#8217;t a u-joint but the transmission. \u00a0Dang! \u00a0That means that we are going to be without the Gator for a bit. \u00a0But, at least it was still under warranty.<\/p>\n<p>Next. \u00a0I had an online equipment sale a couple of weeks ago. \u00a0I put the old 4 wheeler on there. \u00a0Duke found out and did not like it. \u00a0He allowed that if I sold it, I needed to buy a new one. \u00a0So, I bought the old 4 wheeler back. \u00a0Now, I don&#8217;t have a Gator so the 4 wheeler is getting used everyday. \u00a0I got lucky there.<\/p>\n<p>I got lucky enough to be asked to judge a jackpot in Georgia. \u00a0This was a top notch show. \u00a0Lots of buckles given out. \u00a0The show management was superb. \u00a0High quality showmanship was on display. \u00a0And lots of really good goats. \u00a0The hospitality and respectfulness of adults and kids alike makes me feel lucky to have the opportunity to judge a show such as this one.<\/p>\n<p>The top end of these goats being shown in Georgia are good. \u00a0And these goats were bred in several different states. \u00a0Okie and Texas bred goats were common. \u00a0But there were also top end goats that were born and bred in Georgia and South Carolina. \u00a0With the internet and the advent of coast-to-coast livestock delivery services, good livestock are liable to be anywhere.<\/p>\n<p>I was also lucky enough to meet somebody that works in the Atlanta airport that was halfway polite and decent to deal with.<\/p>\n<p>And it isn&#8217;t every year that you can end the month of July with below 90 degree temps and an inch of rain. \u00a0Horseshoes and shamrocks! \u00a0I feel lucky!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lately, I&#8217;ve been pretty lucky. \u00a0First off, I got that Gator in to Deere before the warranty ran out. \u00a0Next, it wasn&#8217;t a u-joint but the transmission. \u00a0Dang! \u00a0That means that we are going to be without the Gator for a bit. \u00a0But, at least it was still under warranty.
