{"id":1644,"date":"2017-07-10T13:54:09","date_gmt":"2017-07-10T13:54:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/?p=1644"},"modified":"2017-07-10T13:54:21","modified_gmt":"2017-07-10T13:54:21","slug":"things-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/kellnlivestock.com\/site\/things-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Things"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I re-learned several powerful things on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>First, it is amazing how wound up kids are when you pick them up from FFA Alumni Camp. \u00a0It is very common for first time attendees to run up and say, &#8220;Thanks for making me attend this.&#8221; \u00a0Or &#8220;This was the best 3 days of my life!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Second, Tulsa has to be the worst city in the US to drive through. \u00a0None of the major highways\/interstates run on a normal track. \u00a0The interchanges for various highway intersections lie on curves and in other bad locations. \u00a0It&#8217;s like they gave a monkey a box of crayons and let him draw the lines without a ruler. \u00a0Then they just connected all the lines to make for intersections. \u00a0I feel like the engineer who designed the Tulsa area highways must have barely passed industrial engineering but knew somebody in order to get the job. \u00a0Driving through that city will make you want to throat punch somebody before you get out of town.<\/p>\n<p>Next, throw in the fact that driving on the Cimarron Turnpike will physically abuse you. \u00a0That is a rough piece of road that you get the thrill of paying to drive on. \u00a0That piece of road will knock the fillings out of your teeth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I re-learned several powerful things on Saturday.
