I have lots of goat stories. \u00a0But, I get sick of talking goats. \u00a0So, how about a non-confrontational story that does not involve a goat?<\/p>\n
Tammy and I have some friends (former students) who have their own family and all that it entails. \u00a0The eldest child is a senior in high school and the other is a 7th grader. \u00a0The youngest child was at the dinner table, reading a book. \u00a0She ate, read the book and then got up and left. \u00a0This was a bit odd as this child isn’t much of a book reader.<\/p>\n
The mom asked her eldest child, what is she reading about. \u00a0The senior child responded, “I don’t know but she asked me what a word in the book meant.”<\/p>\n
The mom asked, “What word?”<\/p>\n
The senior responded, “She wanted to know what ‘horny” meant. \u00a0So, I told her.”<\/p>\n
In a panic, the mom said, “OMG! \u00a0And what did you tell her?”<\/p>\n
Sr. girl–“I told her the truth. \u00a0Like a horny toad. \u00a0Duh! \u00a0What did you think I would tell her?”<\/p>\n
All I know is that these parents have every bit of this coming to them. \u00a0They earned it.<\/p>\n

I was pretty pumped about the peppered bacon, blue & gold sausage, fresh eggs and blueberry pancakes that the Dragon Lady cooked for supper. \u00a0Wicked awesome good. \u00a0Then, Kela called and was headed to the beach to eat Italian. \u00a0Yeah, she might have us beat, but I won’t trade that kind of supper\/breakfast for the beach.<\/p>\n
Kela did tell us that she has enjoyed working with “the best singer in the world.” \u00a0 I love it.<\/p>\n
Okay, just one goat story. \u00a0Duke and I ivomec’ed a plethora of bucks tonight. \u00a0And we trimmed hooves on Manilla Gorilla and Joe Dirt. \u00a0Jeeminy Christmas! \u00a0Dirt’s front hooves are always miserable. \u00a0But, tonight was brutal. \u00a040 minutes to get them trimmed. \u00a0One back hoof was fine–I needed a Ginsu knife to cut through the others. \u00a0I guess the extremely dry conditions coupled with him being as old as a rock made for some slow slicing. \u00a0The good thing is that Tyke owes me lunch now. \u00a0Although, I would have gladly traded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
